Asmaa A.

Hi, I'm Asmaa! I hold a first-class BSc in Sociology from the University of Salford and am currently completing an MSc in Sociological Research at the University of Manchester. I've been tutoring Sociology for five years, working with students of various abilities and skill levels. I don't just help students understand the content, I focus on exam technique too, teaching them how to structure answers, use the right sociological terminology, and hit the assessment objectives examiners are looking for. As well as Sociology, I have experience as an English Teacher at an international school, teaching the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE English Language course, and delivering tuition to students preparing for the IGCSE English Language and IGCSE Arabic exams. I am very patient and passionate about what I do. My goal is to help you build genuine confidence in the subject and see that reflected in your grades. **I am happy to discuss hourly rates according to your needs

I have experience teaching English in classroom environments as well as delivering one-to-one and group tuition for GCSE and A Level students for Sociology, Arabic and English. My students have all made tremendous progress since starting their lessons with me and achieved the grades they set out to achieve.

I am most proud of my ability to build students' confidence and belief in their abilities. I begin by assessing each student's starting level so I can build a plan tailored to their needs. Alongside covering the content, we practise each skill, and I adapt my teaching based on their feedback. We also work on exam technique, essay writing, and how to approach a paper according to the specification, including answering questions and full papers under timed exam conditions. Because I'm passionate about the subjects I teach, my enthusiasm motivates students, and I'm able to explain concepts in a clear, accessible way.
