My name is Cameron, a thirty-year-old private English tutor from Glasgow, Scotland. I graduated from Strathclyde University in 2022 with a Bsc. (Hons) Degree in English, Journalism and Creative Writing. Having always been a huge admirer of the subject, it would bring me great pleasure to assist you in any manner that I can! I have been tutoring online for two and a half years and have found great success in aiding my many students (over 85 students and 2,500 lessons!) over this time. I make lessons fun, engaging, and on occasion truly exciting, with my approach tailored to the individual needs of each learner, aiding in the growth of confidence and discipline as well as educational attainment.

Approach
I prefer to teach in a relaxed and casual manner, promoting students to be their true selves in order to reach their true potential. I structure my lessons around a main exercise each week, ensuring they are student-focused and student-led - however, don't think that makes me lackadaisical! Time-keeping, respect, and hard work are the foundation of any great student.

“Cameron is an excellent communicator and does his best to accommodate changes. He takes time to learn the students interests and utilise them to engage the student in their studies. He is always on time and lets you know with as much notice as possible if he does have to make changes. My daughter can be challenging at times with her ADHD but Cameron is patient and calm and works hard to re-engage her which he is often successful at, he is quick to correct her if she wanders off topic or is inappropriate. My daughter enjoys her lessons and has gone up in learning stages with Cameron’s help and additional homework he provides. He really is an asset and we are very grateful for his input which goes above and beyond.”
