About Gordon
I am a highly experienced Science Teacher and Tutor, with a long and successful track record of helping students to succeed in their studies, especially in GCSE Sciences. I have taught Science for over 20 years, including at leading independent schools in Cambridge. I really enjoy the more informal setting of tutoring lessons, where students can feel free to ask absolutely any question, and I love that feeling when you and a student have tackled something they've found tricky and they reach that "Eureka!" moment when everything finally makes sense.
Teaching experience
Since 2017, I have worked with students ranging from Key Stage 2 up to A-level, but predominantly with GCSE Sciences. I have worked with students with a broad range of abilities and needs in terms of where they need help, including subject knowledge detail, applying knowledge to solve problems, calculation methods in Physics and Chemistry and understanding the intricacies of complex systems and processes in Biology, such as the interaction of DNA, RNA and amino acids in protein synthesis.
