About Peter
I have been a maths tutor since 1988 working in my spare time. I have worked full-time as a statistician in the civil service and also at university. I work closely with my students and I aim to encourage them. I have a large number of worksheets and teaching notes appropriate to the current GCSE and A-Level syllabuses. I also help engineering and business study students with maths and I help students with statistical analysis including the usage of SPSS. Feedback from my students is positive: they describe me as being patient, kind and well organised.
Teaching experience
I have mainly tutored GCSE maths with exam success for 95% of tutees. I have also tutored maths for SATS with complete success and A-Level maths with complete success.
Approach
I teach using worksheets appropriate to the tutee's ability. I work closely with the tutee and also with their parent and/or school where applicable. I aim to encourage the tutee.
