Rene D.

I am a second year Economics and Politics student at The University of Sheffield. I understand education can be hard and daunting at times but it can also be made fun and interesting and thats what I intend to do as a tutor. My goal is to help you learn in a calm environment where you feel safe enough to make mistakes and ask questions. I aim to help my students build genuine confidence and interest in what they learn whilst also creating effective exam techniques and systems for learning.

- I have taught students ranging from primary school to A-level with all different kinds of needs. - I have helped students prepare GCSE exams and A-level exams - I have helped students improve their reading level (those who are reading at a lower level than they should be) - I have also helped younger children with reading, phonics and simple numeracy Whether you’re struggling and need help passing or if you’re passing but want to do better I have learning processes that can help students achieve these goals.

- I adapt every lesson to the student's unique learning style, pace, and current curriculum board. - Rather than just giving answers, I go through worked examples breaking down challenging problems into step-by-step logical processes so students can tackle unseen questions with confidence. - For students preparing for exams I focus on mark scheme nuances, time management, and past paper practice to maximise exam performance.
